Rates & what a trip costs.
Straightforward pricing for every Muskie Bay package. All rates are in US dollars, per person, and include lakeview lodging and meals unless noted. Rates do not include 13% HST.
Guided and self-guided fishing rates.
Per person, per day. Fewer anglers per boat means more room and a higher per-person rate.
Guided rates include your guide, all rods, reels, bait and tackle, and a traditional shore lunch on the water. Self-guided rates include a deluxe 18 ft boat with a 50 hp motor, gas, GPS and trolling motor, plus boats and motors staged on our outpost and portage lakes. Read more about premier guided fishing, semi-guided fishing and self-guided fishing and lodging.
Ontario ice fishing rates.
Three nights and two days of fishing, per person, lodging and all meals included.
Shallow-water lake trout on Crow Lake plus sled access to Lake of the Woods for walleye, perch, pike and crappie. Details on the Ontario ice fishing page.
Whitetail and bear hunt rates.
The whitetail rate includes boat-in access to pre-scouted areas, stands ready, lodging, all meals, daily maid service and a fishing package. Bear hunts are offered seasonally based on land lease availability, so dates and rates are confirmed closer to the season. See whitetail deer hunts and Ontario bear hunts.

Rates and booking, answered.
How much does a Canadian fishing trip cost?
At Muskie Bay, a self-guided fishing package starts at $190 USD per person per day with lodging, meals and a deluxe boat with gas included. A fully guided trip starts at $467 USD per person per day. A three night ice fishing package runs $800 to $1,100 USD per person. Those numbers include almost everything, which is worth remembering when comparing against lodges that quote lodging only.
Are your rates in US or Canadian dollars?
All rates on this page are in US dollars. Most of our guests travel up from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and the Dakotas, so we quote in USD to keep the comparison simple.
What is not included?
Rates do not include 13% Ontario HST. They also exclude your Ontario fishing or hunting licence, gratuities for guides and lodge staff, and travel to the resort. Visa and MasterCard payments carry a 3% service charge. Licences can be bought online before you travel, and our guest info page covers licensing and border crossing.
What is your deposit and cancellation policy?
A deposit of $200 USD per person holds your reservation, and the balance is due in full on the day of check in. Deposits are non-refundable, because our season is short and a held week is one we cannot resell. There is a two-person minimum per reservation. If your dates are uncertain, call Paul at 807-271-3015 before booking.
Do you offer rates for non-fishing guests?
Yes. Spouses, kids and friends are welcome, and non-fishing and non-hunting day rates apply. There is plenty to do around the resort including the hot tub, sauna, patio and the lake itself.
Can I book a cabin or motel unit without a package?
Yes. We rent lakeside and hillside cabins and Crow Lake Motel units daily, weekly and monthly. Call us for current availability and nightly rates.
